Thiruvananthapuram offers best IT/ITES infrastructure: Survey

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala's capital Thiruvananthapuram has been rated as the best city with IT/IT enabled Services (ITeS) infrastructure according to a recent survey.

The survey conducted by Manpower Services India Pvt Ltd, a Gurgaon based human resource consultancy, rated Thiruvananthapuram second in terms of availability of human talent.

The survey covered cities of Kolkota, Vizag, Pune, Mysore, Chandigarh, Bhubaneshwar, Nagpur, Nasik, Indore, Goa, Jaipur besides Thiruvananthapuram.

The report suggests India as a growing destination for outsourcing of manufacturing, IT and ITeS. Of these, the ITeS sector also labelled as Business Process Outsourcing is the fastest growing.

The Techno Park campus here offers state-of-the-art infrastructure and support services for IT/ITeS companies. With more than 108 companies and 12,500 employees, the Park is in its expansion mode and aims to provide 60,000 additional jobs over the next three years.
