Tech Mahindra most searched word on Google
The Tech Mahindra-Satyam deal today dominated the headlines in print, audio visual as well as the cyberspace as 'Tech Mahindra' emerged as the most searched word on Internet search engine Google India during the day.

NEW DELHI: The Tech Mahindra-Satyam deal today dominated the headlines in print, audio visual as well as the cyberspace as 'Tech Mahindra' emerged as the most searched word on Internet search engine Google India during the day.
According to trend data available on Google website, out of 10 most searched words on Google India, four are related to the Tech Mahindra-Satyam deal.
An analysis of the Google Trends shows that people became inquisitive to know the details regarding the news of the day and gave search words like -- Tech Mahindra, Tech Mahindra share price to keep them updated with the latest happenings.
Meanwhile, two other search words like 'Satyam' and 'Satyam bid' also ruled the world wide web.
The other most searched words that dominated the cyberspace were -- Tamil New Year, Vishu SMS, Vishu Greetings, Vishu 2009, Vishu Festival and Ambedkar Jayanti.
Satyam today found a new owner in industrial conglomerate Mahindra that outbid engineering giant L&T with an offer of Rs 58 a share -- entailing up to Rs 2,900 crore for majority stake in the scam-tainted IT company.
Having won the bid for 31 per cent stake, Tech Mahindra would make an offer for an additional 20 per cent stake within a week of getting clearances from the Company Law Board.
