TCS to hire 30,000 engineering grads

TCS CEO and MD, S Ramadurai , said of the 30,000 new recruits, most would be from India.

THANJAVUR: Tata Consultancy Services would this year recruit over 30,000 Engineering graduates worldwide, a senior company official has said.
Delivering the 20th Convocation address at Shanmugha Arts and Science Technology and Research Academy(SASTRA) here on Sunday night, TCS' Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, S Ramadurai said of the 30,000 odd new recruitments, most of them would be from India.
He appealed Indian Engineering graduates to continuously improve their software skills, language skills and multi-disciplinary know-how to stay ahead of others.
Stating that key to success was innovation, he said: "tough environments give an opportunity to innovate and grow".
Quoting studies, he said that China will have a GDP growth of $44 trillion by 2015, leaving behind the United States with $38 trillion. India's GDP would also make a giant leap at 28 trillion dollar by that year, he added.
