TCS partners Switzerland pro-cycling team

The country's largest software vendor, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), today said it has been appointed as the official technology partner to the pro-cycling team 'Cervelo Test Team' (CTT).

NEW DELHI: The country's largest software vendor, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), today said it has been appointed as the official technology partner to the pro-cycling team 'Cervelo Test Team' ( CTT).

Headquartered in Switzerland, CTT has 39 male and female riders from Europe, North America and Australia.

In addition to team sponsorship, TCS will provide technology services in kind.

"A focus on going beyond business and engaging with the community has always been the defining principle of TCS and the Tata Group. Given our growing business interests and presence in Europe, we constantly look to give back to the communities we work in by supporting wellness through sports," TCS Europe Vice President and Head A S Lakshminarayanan said.

This announcement will add to TCS' significant portfolio of sports partnership, which include tie ups with Formula 1 racing team Ferrari, Ducati and several major marathons worldwide.

TCS will put in place a specialised team to work with Cervelo and identify how technology can be better leveraged to enhance the performance of the team.
