HYDERABAD: The name of a person believed to be the head of a Malaysia-based company is sticking out like a sore thumb among members of the Raju family and their associates in a list compiled by income-tax authorities investigating the financial scandal at Satyam Computer Services.

The name NG Ching Meng figures in a 30-person List of individuals of Satyam Group which the tax authorities have sent to Andhra Pradeshs stamps and registration department seeking information on land dealings and other transactions they are part of, the document in possession of this paper show.

NG Ching Meng is also the name of the country director of IJM India, a subsidiary of the Malaysian construction conglomerate IJM. The Indian arm of IJM was a JV partner with the Raju family-promoted Satyam Constructions (now known as Maytas Infra) to build part of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. IJM India, along with Maytas Infra, is also part of the GVK-led consortium implementing the Gautami Power Project in Andhra Pradesh.
