Tarun Das accepts Satyam board membership offer

NEW DELHI: A press statement issued by industry body CII says that its chief mentor Tarun Das has accepted the government's proposal to appoint him as one of the new board members of Satyam Computer services.

"I have accepted the request to serve the government, in a spirit of public service and to work in partnership with my fellow members of the Board," said Mr Das.

He added that the board's priority would be to safeguard the interests of employees, customers and investors, besides collectively working towards finding solutions to the difficult challenges being faced by the company.
