Tally rolls out new enterprise resource planning software

BENGALURU: Accounting software maker Tally Solutions has launched a new version of its trademark enterprise resource planning software that it said would help small- and medium-size customers solve problems related to taxation.

Tally.ERP 9 Release 5.0 has been designed to help businesses, accountants and tax authorities "to quickly and easily match returns with actual data", the company said.

Tally said the value added tax capabilities of its latest product would be launched incrementally across five states — Karnataka, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu — and subsequent releases would provide VAT return forms for the rest of the states.
