SRIT to start operations in Brunei through JV

Bangalore-based IT company Sobha Renaissance Information Technology (SRIT) is looking at setting up operations in the Sultanate of Brunei through a joint venture soon.


BANGALORE: Bangalore-based IT company Sobha Renaissance Information Technology (SRIT) is looking at setting up operations in the Sultanate of Brunei through a joint venture soon.

SRIT Director for Business, N J Joseph told ET, "We have almost finalised the partner for the JV which will be operational in about a month." The company intends to make investments in the range of about $5 million during next 5 years in the JV.

"We will be focusing on health, telecom and e-governance sectors in Brunei. SRIT is currently in talks with 4 companies in health and other areas in that country," Mr Joseph said.

The $300-million company is also looking at setting up JVs in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand where it already has sales offices. SRIT has offices in the US, France, Germany, Dubai, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.
