Satyam to enhance Sony Europe's IT dev
Software services firm, Satyam Computer Services has launched an Offshore Development Centre (ODC) at its Bangalore campus for providing IT solutions to Sony Europe.

MUMBAI: Software services firm, Satyam Computer Services has launched an Offshore Development Centre (ODC) at its Bangalore campus for providing IT solutions to Sony Europe.
The centre would provide Sony Europe with world-class SAP application development, support and testing services across its entire business -- sales, distribution, warehouse management, finance and business intelligence system, Satyam informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
"Satyam's deep expertise and proven track record with SAP will enable Sony Europe in meeting its objectives. We are well on our way to creating real business value and bolstering our outstanding relationship with Sony Europe," Satyam Europe Director and Senior Vice President Keshab Panda said.
The ODC would also enhance Sony Europe's IT development and support capacity and enable the Sony Infrastructure Services team to focus on core activities such as -- platform enhancement, optimisation and innovation.
By extending its partnership with Satyam, Sony Europe would leverage a highly-skilled workforce, reduce infrastructure services costs and manage its growth.
Satyam would enable Sony Europe to integrate key business processes, increase operational efficiency, improve information flow and enable interoperability among heterogenous applications.
The shares of the company were trading at Rs 468.10, up 1.51 per cent on the BSE.
