Satyam postpones board meeting till next month

HYDERABAD: Satyam Computer Services has postponed its board meeting scheduled for Monday to the next month as there was lack of quorum.

The board meeting has been postponed, sources said here but did not say when the next meeting would take place.

However, reports suggest that meeting could be scheduled for January 19, 2009.

The meeting originally scheduled for Monday was to discuss a proposal for buyback of shares to mollify shareholders who were livid at the company's move to acquire two companies promoted by Chairman B Ramalinga Raju's family.
