Satyam, Fujitsu in IT services deal for Reuters

Satyam Computer Services has entered into an agreement with Fujitsu Services for providing IT services to news agency Reuters as part of a 10-year, $1 billion internal information systems transformation programme.

MUMBAI: Satyam Computer Services has entered into an agreement with Fujitsu Services for providing IT services to news agency Reuters as part of a 10-year, $1 billion internal information systems transformation programme.

Satyam has been providing services to Reuters for over six years. Under the new contract it will provide some of its services to Reuters via Fujitsu, rather than directly.

Under the contract, Satyam will extend its support and core applications, as well as managed infrastructure services for desk side support, global network operations centre, and remote infrastructure management.

These services will be delivered from its current Reuters Offshore Delivery Centre in Hyderabad as well as from a new centre in Chennai. At 11:18 pm, Satyam shares were up 2.82 per cent at Rs 461 on BSE.
