Satyam bags PSB order for Rs 135 cr

Satyam Computer Services signed a 10-year contract worth Rs 135 crore with Punjab & Sind Bank for supply core banking solution to the bank.

MUMBAI: Satyam Computer Services signed a 10-year contract worth Rs 135 crore with Punjab & Sind Bank for supply core banking solution to the bank.
The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it would supply, implement and maintain the core banking system of the bank. Satyam would also provide networking facility for the bank's 500 branches, host its Data Center and Disaster Recovery Center and provide networking and facility management.
"The company is very pleased to partner with Punjab & Sind Bank, one of India's most highly respected, high-profile public sector banks for this project," Satyam director and senior vice president, APAC and MEIA Virender Aggarwal said.
The company would implement and support several systems, including CBS and Branch Infrastructure for 300 Punjab & Sind Bank branches and Enterprise Management Solution which would help Punjab & Sind Bank to offer anytime banking via the Internet, as well as numerous other options, it added.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 818.55, up 0.41 per cent on the BSE.
