The financial auditors of Satyam, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has said it is examining the contents of the statement issued by the Satyam Chairman.

NEW DELHI: The financial auditors of Satyam, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has said it is examining the contents of the statement issued by the Satyam Chairman.

In a statement issued almost nine hours after Satyam founder and chairman B Ramalinga Raju disclosed that the IT firm's books overstated its cash assets and financial results were cooked, PwC said, "We have learnt of the disclosure made by the Chairman of Satyam Computer Services and are currently examining the contents of the statement.

We are not commenting further on this subject due to issues of client confidentiality."
