MUMBAI: Business management software solutions provider SAP has been awarded a contract to standardise business processes and optimise energy and natural resource efficiency by Maharashtra Power Generation Company Ltd (Mahagenco).

The project would be implemented by L&T InfoTech and is scheduled to get operational by December, 2011, a press statement issued here today stated.

SAP, along with L&T InfoTech, would implement business process standardisation across 14 different facilities of the generation company, the release said.

Mahagenco has an installed capacity of more than 9,990 MW.

The integration would help Mahagenco maximise the value of its IT with web-based technologies and a centralised data centre, the release said.
