RInfra bags five power IT consultancy projects in Karnataka
Anil Ambani Group firm Reliance Infrastructure today said it has bagged IT consultancy projects for all five electricity distribution companies in Karnataka.
"RInfra, as an IT consultant, would study the existing systems and develop an IT blueprint for the state electricity boards (SEBs); prepare and submit a detailed project report," Reliance Infrastructure said in a release here.
The company bagged orders from Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM), Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corp (CESCOM), Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM), Hubli Electricity Supply Company (HESCOM) and Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company (GESCOM).
The private firm would also assist Karnataka's SEB in appointing an IT implementation agency and for evolving a programme for overall management of IT implementation.
"This achievement marks RInfra's foray into IT consulting in the power utility space. Going forward, we would look for IT consultancy and implementation opportunities in other states as well," company CEO and Director Lalit Jalan said.
