Raju bothers, former Satyam CFO Vadlamani file fresh bail petition

The petition filed by their counsel in the 6th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate would come up for hearing on February 12.

HYDERABAD: As market regulator SEBI and SFIO are seeking court permission to quiz them, Satyam Computer founder Ramalinga Raju, his brother Rama Raju and the company's former CFO Vadlamani Srinivas today filed a fresh petition for bail in a local court here.

The petition filed by their counsel in the 6th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate would come up for hearing on February 12. The Rajus and Srinivas had sought bail from the same court last month too, but it was rejected.

"Bail application will come up for hearing on February 12," the counsel for the Rajus, K Ravinder Reddy, told reporters.

Meanwhile, the court today reserved its verdict on the bail pleas of the auditing firm Price Waterhouse's partners S Gopalakrishnan and Srinivas Talluri for February 16.

In another development, SFIO's plea to record statements of the accused -- Ramalinga Raju, Rama Raju and Vadlamani Srinivas -- on oath in jail was posted to February 13.

"The petition filed by SFIO has been taken up. The arguments were heard and posted to February 13 for orders by the court," Reddy said.
