Police conduct search operation at PwC Hyderabad office

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department officials on Tuesday conducted a search operation at PriceWaterhouseCoopers Hyderabad office at road no. 36 Jubilee Hills.

The firm that audited the accounts of defamed Satyam Computer, however said in a statement issued today that there was no raid in their premises as reported by various agencies.

"There is no raid at the Price Waterhouse Hyderabad office. We are in discussion with different agencies for providing information requested by them. We are fully cooperating with the agencies and providing whatever information/documents/materials that have been asked for."

The auditing and consulting firm is in the midst of investigations for turning a blind eye and certifying the accounts of Satyam Computer in which the top management cooked up financial accounts with inflated cash reserves and profits.
