Patni forms alliance with Savvion
Software services provider, Patni Computer Systems Ltd on Thursday said it has formed a strategic alliance with a business process management (BPM) company, Savvion, to offer BPM solutions across industries.

MUMBAI: Software services provider, Patni Computer Systems Ltd on Thursday said it has formed a strategic alliance with a business process management (BPM) company, Savvion, to offer BPM solutions across industries.
As part of the agreement, Patni would provide its expertise to help people within organizations to collaborate, control and improve business processes with Savvion Business Manager 6.8, Patni informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
"We are pleased to be counted as one of the newest members of the Savvion Process Partner Program and we are excited about the latest product offering in Savvion Business Manager 6.8," Patni Vice President - Solutions, Manufacturing Business Unit Milind Joshi said.
The integration of Savvion and Patni would help to bridge the gap between business and IT, it added.
The Savvion Business Manager 6.8 enables our joint customers worldwide to easily implement a business process management solution within their organization and enjoy cost savings across the board, Joshi added.
With Savvion, Patni's customers in the automotive, manufacturing, technology, financial services, pharmaceuticals, telecom and retail sectors can model their processes and make them actionable as an application in an organization to improve operational efficiencies.
The shares of the company were trading at Rs 276, up 1.47 per cent at the BSE.
