Norwegian IT firm EDB picks up 50.1% in SPAN Infotech
Norwegian IT major EDB has acquired 50.1% stake in Bangalore-based SPAN Infotech India Pvt Ltd for $3.8 million.

BANGALORE: Norwegian IT major EDB has acquired 50.1 per cent stake in Bangalore-based SPAN Infotech India Pvt Ltd for $3.8 million (about Rs 15.2 crore), the two companies said in a joint statement on Tuesday.
EDB has over 4,600 employees and has a turnover of over $1 billion. EDB delivers solutions that cover the entire range of business IT services, it said.
Established in 1994, SPAN employs about 550 professionals working from three office locations in Bangalore and primarily works in areas of applications development and applications management, it said.
