No discussion on merger: Tech Mahindra

NEW DELHI: IT firm Tech Mahindra today said it has not taken any decision to merge Mahindra Satyam with itself.

In a statement Tech Mahindra said, "...there has been no decision by the Board of Tech Mahindra Ltd and Satyam Computer Services Ltd about merger of the two companies."

The company was reacting to media reports which said that Tech Mahindra and Satyam Computer would merge.

Tech Mahindra is in the process of acquiring 51 per cent of Satyam Computer, now known as Mahindra Satyam.

Tech Mahindra on Tuesday had appointed CP Gurnani CEO of Mahindra Satyam and S Durgashankar the new chief financial officer with immediate effect. Meanwhile, Tech Mahindra strategic initiatives head Sanjay Kalra had been promoted as the new CEO of the company.
