Nexus, True Ventures injects $3.2 mn in mobile customer support startup Helpshift
Helpshift which provides customer support help desk for native apps on mobile devices has raised a seed round of $3.2 mn from True Ventures and Nexus Venture Partners.

The start-up founded by Abinash Tripathy and Baishampayan Ghose provides software development kit that integrates with mobile applications to provide “in-app” customer support experience.
“Helpshift is creating an entirely new customer service model for today’s mobile ecosystem,” said Phil Black, founding partner at True Ventures.
Helpshift’s mobile solution which is offered as software-as-a-service and hosted on the cloud provides support for Apple devices ( iOS) and HTML5, a markup language for structuring and presenting content for the world wide web.
“Our early customers indicated that more than 80 per cent of inbound customer enquiries were for common issues,” said Helpshift co-founder and CEO Abinash Tripathy.
He said, unlike traditional web-based solutions shoehorned into mobile applications, Helpshift is designed to be instantly searchable and available even when a device is not connected to any network or is offline.
The solution includes a mobile messaging experience for users to send detailed, device-specific diagnostics and screenshots to customer service representative who can address the issues in real-time.
“Abinash and team are offering a data-driven platform for customer service uniquely tailored to the native mobile experience, ” said Jishnu Bhattacharjee, managing director, Nexus Venture Partners.
In September, Nexus injected first round funding of $ 2 million in Bangalore-based storage startup Datagres.
