Muthoot Fincorp launches new mobile app to store jewellery virtually

Consumers of gold would be able to store all of their gold jewelry at one place virtually and assess its current value, courtesy a unique android based mobile application - My Jewel Box, developed by one of the leading gold loan companies - Muthoot Fincorp.

Mr. Thomas George Muthoot, Director - Muthoot Pappachan Group said: "The app is a very tech-savvy option to store gold jewellery on a virtual platform, and enable our customers to assess the value of their gold jewellery in a few seconds. The initial response has been encouraging and we would be releasing an iOS version soon."

The mobile application's user friendly interface helps in easily evaluating the current value of gold jewelry by mentioning the total weight of the gold and per gram rate at which it was purchased.

The mobile application calculates the net value of the gold as per the current rate and provides information on the eligibility for gold loan. The mobile application also allows consumers to click pictures of their jewelry and categorize it in segments such as bangles, necklaces, rings etc.
