NEW DELHI: IT firm MphasiS on Friday annouced the opening of its first delivery center in Australia at the University of Wollongong.

The location of the center will enable the company to work closely with the University, on initiatives like training, recruitment, and research and development in the ICT space, MphasiS said in a statement.

The center will provide local employment opportunities with plans to create at least 265 jobs over five years, it added.

Headquartered in India, MphasiS is an HP Group company providing applications services, remote management services and BPO services to healthcare, government and retail industries.

The company will focus exclusively on customers in Australia and New Zealand through this centre and will offer specialised services to the telecommunication industry.

It also plans to offer specialised automated testing services from the test lab being set up in Wollongong.
