MindTree strengthens its board of directors

BANGALORE: International IT and R and D services company, MindTree Consulting on Thursday announced the expansion of its Board of Directors with the inclusion of five eminent personalities.

The new MindTree Board would now comprise 10 Directors.

The five new members who will function as Independent Directors are Managing Director of Motor Industries Co Ltd and chairman of Robert Bosch India Ltd Dr Albert Hieronimus, president of Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) George Scalise, Consultant in a range of fields, including at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) Mark Runacres, former central vigilance officer and an accomplished public administrator N Vittal and former Managing director of Widia (India) Ltd R Srinivasan, a company statement said.

The strengthening of the MindTree's Board of Directors will help the organisation achieve greater goals, said MindTree Consulting chairman and managing director Ashok Soota.

In addition to the five Independent Directors, MindTree's Board of Directors includes Lip-Bu Tan, chairman of Walden International, Siddhartha V G, chairman of Global Technology Ventures and Vivek Kalra, vice president at Capital Group. They represent the three investors in MindTree.

Ashok Soota and Subroto Bagchi, MindTree Consulting chief operating officer, will function as executive directors on the Board.
