Microsoft said it has partnered with Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation for deployment of enterprise resource planning solution to streamline processes in the corporation.

NEW DELHI: Technology giant Microsoft on Friday said it has partnered with Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) for deployment of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to streamline processes in the corporation.

MIDC will deploy Microsoft's ERP software for computerising multiple functions and streamlining processes across the organisation, Microsoft said in a statement.

MIDC has already computerised its water billing system, land management system, accounting, building proposal automation system and file tracking system.

The ERP solution will be implemented in the next 18 months at an estimate of Rs 14 crore and Microsoft Consulting Services will be responsible for maintaining it for five years thereafter, the statement said.

"The adoption of Microsoft ERP should go a long way in helping us achieve our goal, and I am confident that in partnership with Microsoft we can transform the functioning of MIDC," MIDC Chief Executive Officer Kshatrapati Shivaji said.
