Microsoft to sell Windows 10 in USB drives?

Did you ever think that one day you could install a Windows operating system (OS) by just plugging a USB drive? Well, a German website WinFuture has reported that in addition to DVDs, the US-based tech giant Microsoft is planning to sell its Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro software in USB drives at its various retail outlets.

This is essentially for new users and those who use Windows XP or Windows Vista who will have to pay for the upgrade. Users with valid Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 versions are eligible for a free upgrade.

If we believe the report, both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions will be included. This USB drive will enable install and license only for one computer. Till the time Microsoft confirms this report about distributing its new OS, it appears to be a rumor.

On June 1, Microsoft announced that Windows 10 will be available July 29 in 190 countries. It will help people be more productive and have more fun, with a personal and natural experience that works across all their devices.
