Microsoft launches upgraded version of Windows Live

Global software major Microsoft on Thursday unveiled the upgraded version of Windows Live in India.

NEW DELHI: Global software major Microsoft on Thursday unveiled the upgraded version of Windows Live in India.

Windows Live services, which comes with a set of online tools, is designed to bring together all e-mail accounts, photos, blogs, address books and other online information of users on their computers and mobile phones.

"Internet savvy consumers are relying more and more on the web to communicate and share with their friends and family, but they are also becoming increasingly frustrated with how to keep all information with safety and security," Microsoft India Country Manager (Online Services Business) Jaspreet Bindra told reporters here.

The Windows Live set of services is composed of several free PC applications connected to services delivered over the internet.

The new version encompasses more than 20 services, including Windows Live Hotmail, Windows Live Photo Gallery and Windows Live OneCare Family Safety.
