Michael Gallup joins Satyam as Senior V-P

MUMBAI: Satyam Computer Services has hired Michael Gallup from Deloitte Consulting, UK as the senior vice president of Satyam’s energy and utilities (E&U) vertical business unit.

He will focus on existing and new customer relationships, identifying and developing high-end partnerships in the E&U area. He will be relocating from the UK to Texas, US for his new assignment.

Mr Gallup chose an IT company over others because he says, “Consulting companies are not going anywhere, and there were no growth prospects for me, while a career option in Satyam looked far better.”

He brings over 25 years of industry experience, centered around strategy, relationship-management, new business development, business and technology architecture, technology implementation, process re-design, cost reductions and profitability improvement to Satyam.
