Mahindra Satyam plans to focus on aerospace and defence market

Mahindra Satyam said it is planning to en-cash the booming aerospace and defence markets by building on existing relationships and enter into new partnerships.

HYDERABAD: Mahindra Satyam today said it is planning to en-cash the booming aerospace and defence markets by building on existing relationships and enter into new partnerships.

The company has been currently working with five of the top eight global aerospace and defence organisations and provides them with end-to-end product engineering capability for both civil and military sectors.

Gaurav Gupta, Associate Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, Aerospace and Defence, Mahindra Satyam, said the company aims to build on the existing relationships, and create new partnership opportunities in the next 12 months.

The company today launched a single-window 'Art-to-Part' engagement model for its partners in aerospace and defence which covers both design and manufacturing areas, taking care of complete product development lifecycle including after-market services.

"This market looks set to boom in the next two to five years with India predicted to spend billions both on 'Buy' and 'Make' programmes," he said.

The business model is built around creating significant value for partners by taking end-to-end responsibility of mission critical systems and sub-systems, he said.
