LogicaCMG in talks with ISRO to provide software services

European IT services firm LogicaCMG is set to enter the space technology market in India. It is in talks with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to provide software services.


HYDERABAD: European IT services firm LogicaCMG is set to enter the space technology market in India. It is in talks with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to provide software services.

The company is also looking at bringing the space vertical operations to its Bangalore development centre by next year. The company is also participating in the UK government’s lunar mission to understand the origin of the Moon. The aim is to conduct drilling on the Moon surface using robots remotely controlled from the Earth.

Right now, it is working with major oil companies to create simulated oil drilling applications with the help of remote controlling mechanism. This will help prune operational costs of oilcos.
