Lazard's request for nominee on Satyam Board under consideration

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs is looking into a demand by Lazard Capital, that has sought some representation on the Satyam board. The company, which has sent in a letter to the ministry has reportedly bought 7% of Satyam's shares from the open market in the last couple of days.

"I have seen a letter from Lazard Capital ... It is being looked into by the ministry," corporate affairs minister Prem Chand Gupta said on Saturday.
