KLG launches retail solution with Sage
Software company KLG Systel has entered the retail industry in collaboration with Sage and launched a new point of sale solution for small and medium enterprises.
The solution will give retailers a complete view of their retail activities and inventory management.
Priced at Rs 3.50 lakhs for a single store set up, it is available across all major locations in India.
"KLG's foray into the retail space is a logical extension of the company's internal reorganization into the small and medium enterprise segment as well," Mukesh Arora, CEO of KLG Systel said in a release.
"Today, small and medium businesses across India are set to spend 7.7 billion dollars on IT solutions in 2006. Estimates say that 29 per cent of SMBs have PCs and 20 per cent have Internet access. These figures clearly indicate the growing need for PC based small enterprise solutions. We would like to be at the core of this revolution by catering to these needs and by getting more such world class solutions to India," he added.
Sage's Epos Solution can be deployed on a retailer's existing PC, eliminating the need for and additional expense of obtaining and deploying POS-specific terminal hardware.
The open architecture allows for easy modifications and customizations according to the business requirements.
It has a user-friendly interface that provides simplified screen views for faster data entry.
