Infy project manager found murdered

PUNE: ‘Missing’ Vikram Vijay Poddar (29), a project manager of Infosys Technologies Ltd, working at its Pune facility in Hinjewadi IT Park, was found murdered at Pen in Raigad district on Friday.
He was an engineer working with the IT services company for the past seven months, as a project manager with the EMEA (Europe and Middle East Asia) delivery group, one of its business units.
The Pen police registered an offence under the Section 302 of IPC and on Friday forwarded the case to Hinjewadi police station, where the missing complaint of Poddar was under investigation, said senior police inspector Rajendra Bhamare.
Bhamare said that Poddar , who was staying at Aundh was intending to travel Mumbai to meet his parents on Tuesday evening. When he did not reach Mumbai, the next day, his parents lodged a missing complaint with Hinjewadi police, he added.
Bhamare said that Poddar obtained a lift from three unknown occupants of a four-wheeler from Wakad Phata on Tuesday evening.
