Infosys top brass meets Kerala CM

IT major Infosys has shown interest in setting up a Research and Development centre of international standards in Kerala.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: IT major Infosys has shown interest in setting up a Research and Development centre of international standards in Kerala.

This was disclosed by the company's Chief Mentor N R Narayana Murthy and CEO Kris Gopalakrishnan who met Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan on Friday.

They also said the company was ready to start finishing schools in the state in which priority would be given to weaker sections, an official press release said.

The Infosys top brass expressed the hope that the proposed IIT and Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology would enhance Kerala's 'knowledge capital'.

They also invited Achuthanandan to visit Infosys headquarters in Bangalore.
