BANGALORE: Infosys will develop a human resources services platform for Chinese staffing firm Fesco, winning a deal in a market that has been difficult to penetrate for Indian software companies.

Called iSynergy, the software platform will automate a range of services provided by Fesco , including management of personnel information, organisation structure and payroll data, Infosys said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Bangalore based company said the new platform will help Fesco’s users access its services using a single window and self-service options.

“As enterprises in China accelerate their transformation and growth, they are looking for partners who understand the requirements of both global and local business environments,” said Mike Liu, Chief Operating Officer of Infosys China in a statement.

Indian software providers such as Infosys, Tata Consultancy and Wipro have been pushing hard to win outsourcing deals from Chinese firms. These companies currently get a miniscule proportion of their revenues from the Chinese market due to dominance of state-funded local firms and cultural differences.

Infosys entered the Chinese market in 2004 and has nearly 3300 employees as of now.
