Indian software giant Infosys said Wednesday its first-quarter net profit jumped 50.3 per cent from a year earlier as it won more clients amid an ongoing outsourcing boom.

BANGALORE: Indian software giant Infosys said Wednesday its first-quarter net profit jumped 50.3 per cent from a year earlier as it won more clients amid an ongoing outsourcing boom.

Profit at the Nasdaq-listed company for the three months to June totalled eight billion rupees ($177 million) on revenues that climbed 45.6 per cent to Rs 30.2 billion, India's second largest software exporter said in a statement.
