IBM unveils middleware for Indian retail industry

IBM on Tuesday unveiled its 'Store Integration Framework (SIF), a middleware designed to address the issues related to the Indian retail industry, including security and customer management.

CHENNAI: IBM on Tuesday unveiled its 'Store Integration Framework (SIF), a middleware designed to address the issues related to the Indian retail industry, including security and customer management.

SIF, developed by IBM India Industry Solutions lab, integrates all retailer's devices, applications and solutions to create intelligent and responsive stores, a company release said on Tuesday.

It includes solutions such as IBM Digital Video Surveillance (DVS) solution, the integrated Multi-channel Retailing Solutions and IBM AnyPlace Kisoks solution.

These soltuions will help Indian retailers address key issues related to security, channel integration and customer management, helping them boost sales, increase management efficiency and minimise losses due to theft, the release said.
