IBM opens sixth global delivery location in India

IBM today opened its sixth global delivery location in the country to provide better service to its customers.



Chennai: IBM today opened its sixth global delivery location in the country to provide better service to its customers.

This centrer would enable the company scale up its existing application services portfolio to meet the growing client demands, IBM India Managing Director Shankar Annaswamy here.

The new facility, which was inaugurated by the IT and Communications Minister A Raja, is spread across 2,95 lakh sq ft area and would initially employ 100 persons.

The headcount could then go up to 2,500 persons across application and IT infrastructure services over a period of time, he said.

The Chennai centre would offer the company's existing IT infrastructure services portfolio.
