Helios & Matheson changes name of US subsidiary

CHENNAI: Helios & Matheson Information Technology said it has changed the name of its US subsidiary from The A Consulting Teach (Tact) to Helios & Matheson North America. Helios acquired 52% stake in Tact in April 2006.

Helios also rolled out a company-wide cross cultural initiative, it said in a statement. The initiative would help its employees understand differences between national cultures in the way a person conducts business, with specific country-by-country advice across 50 regions, it added.

Mr V Ramachandiran, chairman, Helios said "Global delivery model mandates a multi-cultural and multi-ethnicity workforce. We believe that this initiative will be instrumental in making our employees become internationally focused and fluent with the ability to understand the needs of local cohort group, markets and clients."
