HCL Technologies bags contract from Nokia

IT services firm HCL Technologies on Thursday announced that it has bagged a multi-year helpdesk and desktop management outsourcing services contract from handset maker Nokia.

IT services firm HCL Technologies on Thursday announced that it has bagged a multi-year helpdesk and desktop management outsourcing services contract from handset maker Nokia.

The scope of the engagement encompasses multi-lingual helpdesk services in 13 languages, global account management, workstation packaging, creation and maintenance, workstation security manage-ment and onsite support services.

The announcement coincides with the opening of HCL's new delivery centre in Helsinki, Finland. The centre will have 100 people support-ing near-shore delivery for HCL's clients in the Nordic and Baltic re-gion.

"Nokia has a very large footprint across the world and a much diversi-fied end user base. Through this engagement we will aim to deliver a predictive, highly optimized and standardized end user computing ex-perience to its end users," HCL Technologies VP & Nordic Region head Liselotte H��gertz Engstam said.
