HCL Tech bags contract from Hercules

Software company HCL Technologies has signed a multi-year contract with speciality chemicals manufacturer Hercules to provide IT infrastructure solutions.

NEW DELHI: Software company HCL Technologies has signed a multi-year contract with speciality chemicals manufacturer Hercules to provide IT infrastructure solutions.

The multi-region contract includes IT infrastructure management across data centre, network, IT security, desktop and help desk services, HCL said in a release. The company, however, did not disclose the size of the contract.

"We are committed toward enabling Hercules to further accelerate its business growth," HCL Technologies (Infrastructure Service Division) COO, Anant Gupta said.

HCL has completed the first phase of transitioning certain IT operations and is currently managing the majority of live operations of Hercules' IT infrastructure in the US, the company release said.

The transition of additional infrastructure support in Europe would be completed within the next month, it added.
