HCL Tech bags $70 mn deal from Teradyne

Software company HCL Technologies today said it has won a $70 million five year contract with Teradyne, a leading supplier of automatic test equipment, which could go upto $125 million.

NEW DELHI: Software company HCL Technologies today said it has won a $70 million five year contract with Teradyne, a leading supplier of automatic test equipment, which could go upto $125 million.

"We have won a $70 million five year deal from Teradyne of which $25 million would be billed in the first year itself. $70 million is the minimum amount, it can be much larger," Vineet Nayyar, President of HCL Technologies said here.

As part of the deal, HCL will takeover the entire IT organisation of Teradyne including its employees. The deal involves consulting, data centre consolidation and IT applications.

Nayyar said it is the fourth fifteen million dollar plus deal for the company in the IT infrastructure business.
