Google offers free websites to S&M business in Rajasthan

JAIPUR: Google India today announced to offer free websites for one year to all small and medium businesses in Rajasthan.

The company held a seminar for businesses in the state to help them understand the benefits of the internet medium and how it can help them to scale their business.

The business owners were also showcased Google's new free online tool 'Google Global Market Finder' for advertisers to find new markets ovearseas.

"Rajasthan is a key market for us as search queries in google for businesses like travel and tourism, handicrafts, jewellery of the state have gone multiple times higher in the last three years," Nitin Bawankule, Head of Online Sales, Google India, said at a press conference here.

"We are offering free websites for those small and medium businesses in Rajasthan who do not have websites. It will enable them to get a free, easy-to-build website and web hosting for one year," he said.

Bawankule said that the country has ten crore internet users including four crore of mobile internet users.
