GemTech sees scope in video analytics

GemTech Solutions has drawn up plans for expanding its presence in the video analytics space.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: GemTech Solutions based here, which does exclusive backend work for Phoenix, Arizona-based G4 Matrix Technologies promoted by Gopalan Nair, has drawn up plans for expanding its presence in the video analytics space.

GemTech has tied up with state-government owned Keltron to work together on a range of solutions covering products particularly relating to high performance computing engines for audio/video data processing.

G4 Matrix COO Vinod Menon said the company had capabilities in a range of intelligent camera solutions, including unattended object detection, head and face detection, detecting and counting people, behavioural analysis, vehicle underside surveillance, and traffic management, among others.

GemTech Solutions operations manager Nanda Kumar said, with over 7 years of experience in developing signal/video processing applications, the company was ready to hit the market with solutions in those domains.
