Fallon Health partners Cognizant for biz process automation

NEW DELHI: IT firm Cognizant has partnered with Fallon Health, a not-for-profit healthcare services firm, to become the first Massachusetts-based health insurer providing quotes for merged market plans.


The solution will help Fallon comply with Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements around member-level rating and conducting Health Insurance Exchange activity more effectively, Cognizant said in a statement.

As Fallon's strategic partner, Cognizant developed and deployed a new online quoting tool 'QuoteNow' that facilitates best-practice quoting, rating and underwriting and streamlines application submission and enrolment, it added.

However, no financial details were disclosed. "This engagement forms an important part of our roadmap to automate our business processes for superior service and better regulatory preparedness," Fallon Health Chief Information Officer Frank Barresi said.
