Epicor partners Aditya Birla Minacs to sell, implement and support ERP solutions in India and Middle East

The company will target small and medium businesses with a revenue of more than Rs 50 crore to being with, a top executive told reporters.

BANGALORE: Business software solutions company, Epicor Software Corporation on Tuesday partnered with Aditya Birla Minacs to sell, implement, and support Epicor's enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions in India and the Middle East. The company will target small and medium businesses with a revenue of more than Rs 50 crore to being with, a top executive told reporters.

Basil Daniells, vice president sales for Epicor said, "The partnership means that customers will be ready to take advantage of new business opportunities and together we can offer them extensive support for growing their enterprises across the region."

Epicor was acquired by private equity firm Apax Partners along with Activant solutions for a total value of $ 2 billion in April. The private equity player then merged the two companies.

The $ 800 million business software maker has been forming partnerships in India for its latest product Epicor 9, an ERP solution. So far, the company has made about eight similar partnerships in the country.

With the competition heating up in the ERP space, even major companies like SAP and Oracle have started targeting the Small and Medium businesses.
