Dax Networks introduces 'PatchSee' series of cords

BANGALORE: Networking company, Dax Networks on Wednesday introduced the "PatchSee" series of Intelligent Patch Cords which, the company said, helps network administrators to troubleshoot and manage networks with ease.
One of the difficulties faced by network administrators in large enterprises during troubleshooting is tracing the cables running under the floor or identification of the required Switch Ports and User Nodes in a Network Rack.
With the launch of PatchSee Intelligent Patch Cord, identification of the extremities of an RJ45 patch cord becomes extremely easy and thereby network downtime is significantly reduced, Dax Networks Country Manager Surendar told reporters.
PatchSee Intelligent Patch Cord comes with Patchlight, a light injection tool and when this light source is plugged into one of the patch cords, the other end of the cord glows, he said.
An Europen study has revealed that five minutes downtime could cost a lage enterprise in Europe anywhere between Rs 100-300,000.

With a marginal additional investment of one per cent on the enterprise customer's networking spend, the time and cost of maintaining the network comes down by 12-15 per cent annually, which translates into huge savings on the company's operation, he said.Download
