Court allows SFIO to quiz Raju in jail

A local court on Friday allowed the Serious Fraud office to question Satyam's founder Ramalinga Raju, its former CEO and MD Rama Raju, and former CFO Vadlamani Srinivas tomorrow.

HYDERABAD: A local court on Friday allowed the Serious Fraud office to question Satyam's founder Ramalinga Raju, its former CEO and MD Rama Raju, and former CFO Vadlamani Srinivas tomorrow.

The permission was granted by a magistrate court on a petition by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO).

The probe team would record the statement of the accused in the Chanchalguda central prison where they are lodged.

The SFIO was also allowed to record the statements of auditor Price Waterhouse's partners S Gopalakrishnan and Talluri Srinivas on Sunday in connection with the Rs 7,800 crore accounting fraud in Satyam Computer Services.
