Cognizant ranks 16th for strong performance

Chennai: Cognizant Technology Solutions, IT services provider, has been recognised by BusinessWeek and Business 2.0 for its consistently strong financial performance over the last several years.

Cognizant has been ranked 16th in BusinessWeek magazine in its list of 100 Hot Growth Companies, the fifth year that the company has figured in this list.

This year's ranking is based on the company's revenue and growth, return on capital, return on equity and share performance over the last three years.

The magazine analysed a database of over 5,200 public companies across all industry sectors with annual revenue from USD 50 million to USD 1.5 billion to arrive at the overall ranking, a Cognizant press release said today.

Also, Business 2.0 has named Cognizant 28th on the B2 100 list of the Fastest Growing Tech Companies and seventh in overall job growth.
