Billbachao launches bill tracking app for India

KOLKATA: Billbachao, the web-cum mobile application-based service, unveiled a made-in-India mobile app designed to help users track mobile usage and spends, find the ideal prepaid/postpaid plans and also zero in on the best network operator based on usage and location profiles.

BillBachao recommends the cheapest plans by searching millions of combinations in its back-end databases and gives users an instant recharge option, the company said in a media statement Tuesday.

Prepaid users can get a detailed listing of their usage and spends on Voice, SMS and Data in a detailed post-paid like bill statement. The same is also sent through as an e-mail. Prepaid connections can be directly recharged while postpaid users can pay their bills using the BillBachao app.

BillBachao’s co-founder & CEO Arvind Rao said the company aims to empower mobile users with an app that can slash their mobile bills by up to 30-40%.

“While most other apps encourage users to spend more money, we use high-tech software algorithms and big data analytics delivered via a smartphone app to help users spend smartly, save money and get the biggest bang for their buck,” said Rao in a statement.

According to him, Billbachao has already helped over 5,00,000 users with an average cost saving of around 26%, and is looking to spread this across the whole mobile base.
